I have continued to use Instagram as my main platform as it continues to be the fastest, most inexpensive, simple and tiny way to produce content for my audience. My DA has continued to grow in followers and likes, however, at quite a slow pace and not as much as I had hoped. I have continued to use the same methods of creating and curating that has been explained in my beta blog post as well as my ideating and prototyping posts. I have also continued to brainstorm different ideas which may help me create interesting content as well as grow my reach.

My weekly plan worked in the sense of making smoothies, curating content and sharing quotes, though I did not share recipes walking locations and cafes as planned. As the year is drawing to an end, I found it hard to manage my time efficiently and find time to go and explore walking locations, cafes and test recipes that I can share with my audience. This led to a decrease in posts on my behalf.

Continuing on with my feedback loop, I have continued to reach out for user feedback on my DA. Using twitter, and Instagram for recommendations on content ideas, products and more. The feedback I have received is helpful in the making of my digital artefact.

I came across this article which suggests some great ways to make my content stand out among all of the rest. https://blog.wishpond.com/post/115675437381/instagram-marketing-secrets Methods I have been using to create more content that is eye catching is using effective hashtags, using editing apps, maintaining my stories and creating carousels. Apart from these tips, the article suggested scheduling my content, keeping post drafts on hand, posting behind the scenes content, live broadcasting and partnering with influencers. These are all things I hope to to in the future to expand and possibly monetize my digital artefact.

Pinterest has been a really great way for me to access information which relates to my DA. I have sourced images and information from posts I have seen on Pinterest and used it to curate content and share to my audience. Additionally, Podcasts have also been a great way for me to source content. Listening to a podcast everyday has expanded my knowledge and allowed me to share fantastic, informative information with my audience.

I think you have done a great job and been quite successful with your Instagram. The approach you have taken has done well and you can see that has paid off for your account and its growth. I think you should try and continue on with your Instagram as you don’t want your account to lose that momentum and loose that hard work you have put. If you are able to post once a week at the least then you will still see engagement coming in. Your Instagram page could potentially become a full-time business one day. The polls you have done on Twitter are great and you should maybe do more on Instagram too! I hope you all the best for your DA 🙂
